When?

July 1999

What?

This specific task required special preparation.
Warned us that we’re going to perform in front of thousands of children in the middle of the field. We rented mascots and prepared with them “Woodland Tale”.
We had Also a mini version – “Who conquered the sun?” -puppetshow, translated in Albanian.

By UNICEF asked us to work to raise awareness of children about the dangers of mines, which was waiting for them when they get home. Our trainers from the European Cultural Foundation helped us. The game “Minefield” trained the kids to trust those who are supposed to know how safely to leave the danger zone without panic.
Games that were selected for our direct work with children, guide them to leave the stress and work in a tolerance and mutual assistance.

Each session ended with a meeting with the teachers of the children in giving them the rules of the games have been translated into English, and they had the opportunity to ask us questions. .

The activities in the Macedonian refugee camps, The Tsvete Theatre were commented in UNESCO – Skopje letter of special acknowledgment.
