2016 - “Different together”

From the beginning of September 2016 year in Sofia Municipality region "Swelling" a project is being implemented "Different together", funded by the European Union through the European Structural and Investment Funds with a signed Grant Agreement № BG05M2OP001-3.001-0066 under the Operational Program "Science and education for smart growth".

The beneficiary of the project is Sofia Municipality district "Swelling", and partners- DG № 91, DG № 92, DG № 110, NGO "Flower Theater". They are included in it 90 children from three municipal kindergartens aged 4-5 years and their parents. The project focuses on the creation of specific policies / measures / for the integration of children from different ethnic groups. The activities are aimed at creating conditions for successful socialization of children from ethnic minorities and overcoming negative public attitudes towards them by including them in various workshops..

The goals of the project are:

• Transforming cultural diversity into a source and factor for the spiritual development of children and creating an atmosphere of mutual respect, tolerance and understanding.
• Formation of empathy for the problems of modern society and building civic consciousness through direct contact of children with nature.
• Increasing the level of proper command of the Bulgarian language by children through non-traditional methods and an attractive educational environment.
• Stimulating communication and joint performances between children of different ethnicities through participation in joint art and applied activities.
• Using theatrical art as a form of aesthetic perception and reproduction of intercultural patterns of behavior.
