Because the pandemic situation severely limited our ability to disseminate information about the project, We decided, that the most useful way to achieve its main goal - to help educators in their educational work - would be to turn the final meeting into a demonstration of the game among people, who would apply it with enthusiasm. In general, private schools are more inclined to innovate in their work due to their relative financial independence. And so, on 23 April 2021 r. Flower Theater presented the International Project "PREVENTION OF HARASSMENT AND VIOLENCE" and our participation in it by private school teachers "Veda", Sofia. Then we invited them to enter the game, to test its potential. They took part in the game 19 teachers, including the school principal Mrs. Valentina Dencheva.
We also wanted to invite to this event the chairmen of the regional commissions for combating anti-social behavior of minors., but the school principal, subject to the necessary restrictions, did not allow other outsiders to enter the school building. According to the national regulations for Covid-19, the number of participants should not exceed 30 and they had to wear masks, if they are indoors. But all our participants were elderly people, who work together every day, so everyone was personally responsible for deciding whether to wear a mask.
For health security reasons, for our event we chose the largest hall in the school building, the gym. We hung the program logos on the wall Erasmus Plus, of the project "Prevent" and on Theatre Tsvete, we arranged three large extensible tables as far apart as possible, we surrounded them with chairs and placed a flyer with the basic information about the project on each chair. Thus, upon entering, our guests received information about the reason for our meeting.
The participants worked in two groups 6 man and a group of 7 man. Each group was led by Game Master: Yavor Kostov, Ekaterina Kazakova and Martin Noev. One man watched the whole process: Tsvete Yaneva.
The event continued 120 minutes, the game - 90 minutes. The duration of the event was agreed in advance, as it would be held after the end of the teachers' working day - from 14:30 to 16:30. After its official completion, it continued with a small cocktail and informal conversation with the participants, who had the time and desire to do so.
The characters, on whose 5 case the groups worked, were Young /in the original game Man /, Glad/in the original Rui/ and Irina. Choosing the characters, we tried to cover the widest possible range of categories, discriminated against in Bulgarian society - people with disabilities, homosexual and minority ethnic groups. They were distributed among the groups by lot.
As Game Masters they already had experience with the last test (from 38 young people), the game went extremely smoothly and fun. On each table was a cork board with a printed table with ten horizontal rows and six vertical columns.. Participants wrote their names in the first column, so each of them had an order. Each of the other columns was named after the 5 types of violence - verbally, emotionally, financially, physically and sexually. The team was equipped with colored curls - yellow, Red, blue and green for each of the four reactions (at the bottom of the table it was explained which color which reaction means). Each of Game Masters explain the rules of the game to your group. The first player read the character's ID card. Each of the other members of the group read one of the cases, as after each read case the players gave their own decision, by placing a colored curl on the cork board.
After the last case Game Masters gave time to discuss the cases in the group, rethinking and possibly correcting personal decisions. Then the players had to choose one of the cases, to dramatize it. The participants liked the task and they started its implementation with enthusiasm. Game Masters they helped them. Each of the groups presented their case to the other two groups, but Game Masters tried to encourage as many interventions as possible.
And finally, each participant filled out a short questionnaire to share their impressions of the game, intentions and opportunities to apply it in their future work.
After the agreed 120 minutes, the meeting continued with a small cocktail and an informal conversation with the participants, who had the opportunity and desire to stay until later.
